Robin (Linde) Steegman

With Dutch and Turkish roots, Robin Linde Steegman navigates the world of acting and coaching with fluency in Dutch and English, as well as basic Turkish. Now calling Rotterdam home after 15 years in London, Robin’s work reflects a genuine mix of diverse experiences.

Acting

Educated at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London, class of ’08, where she received two years of funding from the Joop van den Ende Foundation.

Producing

Robin’s involvement with The Nursery Theatre as a co-artistic director from 2009 to 2015 showcased not only a dedication to performing but also an interest in producing. Simultaneously, Robin took on the producer role for The Nursery Festival from 2009 to 2014, contributing to the wonderful London theatre and improv scene.

In 2014, Robin embarked on a solo venture, founding Robin Linde Productions and directing the trajectory of the company until 2019. Along many other projects, this period was marked by the creation of The Caravan Theatre in 2015, now in the capable hands of Small Truth Theatre, offering audiences an immersive and memorable experience inside a Caravan Theatre with an interior much like a swimming pool.

Teaching

Beyond the stage, Robin Steegman has also dedicated time to giving theatre workshops: from her annual workshop week at Buitenkunst in the Netherlands to the Fontainebleau School of Acting in France and Selcuk University Konya in Turkey.

Presentation coaching

From 2011 to 2019, Robin worked with Artesc, where the art of presenting science became a canvas for effective communication,bridging the gap between science and performance in the UK and the Netherlands.
Robin now works for herself and coaches mainly one-on-one, with group workshops on request.
